why when people ragequit from friendly matches does it not count ass a win/loss

getting sick and tired of waiting 5-10 minutes for a friendly match, then the opponent rage quits. make a disconnect count for a loss! and let the person who stays get a win, like any other normal online game! or i will start ragequiting too when i lose. which i dont do. but then my stats might look just as good as the ragequitters

disconnect counts for a loss... yesterday I was playing during the steam maintenance and today it told me I disconnected so I got a loss

strange after 3 people ragequit on me my wins stayed the same. sadly i was gonna get steam achievments for supreme victories ooh well

Your wins stay the same but their losses increases. They also get an increase on a secret internal counter which will put them in jail so they are matched up with rage quitters more.

If seeing a number change in your favour means more to you than playing the game itself then I don't know why you should continue to play either.
They're just rage quitters, it's not a big deal. Enjoy the game.

It sucks and it's unfortunate but you gotta remember the foundations of online functionality of this game are from 2013, and it's just what it is. May I add, they were groundbreaking at that time.

If seeing some irrelevant numbers is more important to you than actually playing for your own fun and improvement, than do as you please.

Persona 4 Arena didn't do this. Madden didn't do this on the 360 and PS3. MK9 didn't do this. I could go on and on. I've not seen a game do that outside of a MOBA or esports game since.... Tribes...?

It used to but it doesn't now. It wasn't super great though. MK x wasn't at first but then they reworked the game for xl on pc and gave it rollback and it's been good since.

Let me try to give a better reasoning. If they allowed for the one that stayed to get the auto win then the system could be farmed for easy fast wins. At least that is the only reason I could come up with.
