Steam Deck issues, why is this verified?

Installed on my Steam Deck and was very impressed but the game, beautiful graphics and fast gameplay but upon exit, every single time, I get an error dialog appear, something to do with the Wine libraries and would I like to debug? Well, I tried saying yes many times and also cancelled many times but this error keeps on appearing upon exiting the game.

It does the exact same with any Proton version I use and also the same in desktop mode.

I have verified all files and also reinstalled the game several times, on the main drive and on SD card - same problem all of the time.

Today, my Steam Deck downloaded a patch for the game and now things are not good…

The game now runs in slow motion, like everything is playing underwater, just dreadful.

If I shut down to desktop mode, the game plays fine but in game mode, this runs like a dog.

And the exit error is still there. I have reported the issues and got the usual generic reply.

Anybody have any ideas what this could be?

Working after a re-install but STILL getting the crash upon exit, bizarre and irritating!

It used to crash on exit on my PC too but it hasn't for a while now.

It just keeps giving me an error message. I was very excited to play it and I was getting very disappointed but I didn’t want to play.

Is it the error about not being logged into your steam account? Mine did that too until I went into properties and forced the comparability to Proton Experimental.

I still have nothing but a black screen on launch with my OLED. Tried a few different versions of proton and nothin'. *shrugs*

EDIT: Installing and running Proton GE appears to fix the black screen issue.

Proton GE also works and also fixes the error on exit.

Same here, i am sad i had to give it a bad review but game refuses to launch on my deck. It says i am not logged in to steam and that i have to quit the game by pressing A. After a few seconds, wine error.

EDIT: As S3rg3ant said above Setting the game to proton experimental seems to fix it. BUT, as a certified game you shouldn't have to touch anything for it to work tbh.

Same problem. I cant even get past the title screen. Says Im not logged in. Was playing this 2 days ago before the new patch and it was working perfectly on m Steam Deck. Im totally bummed right now.

I'm experiencing the same issue here. It worked fine before and I was excited to try this new version :(

EDITED: Switching to Photon experimental works. For now, I hope the developer would put this somewhere so people can play the game.
