That's where I own it. Steam also only has limited crossplay. Even people here suggest going to discord to find games.
It's really dead.
That's kind of my point. Not a great experience for a new player. If you want to play against other people, this is just not a good choice with a very small population and limited game options. You can see on the chart the game really struggles to hold on to anyone. Just thought it was good information to know before buying.
Not enough courage to admit you lost the Breaker argument?
Sad...
The numbers speak for themselves, sorry. I just think that was a "yeah, no" moment for a lot of people and the game did poorly. Why do you think the game is so unpopular? I also hardly ever even post here so get a grip. Not my fault the place is a ghost town. Don't shoot the messenger.
Hardly posting is no excuse for posting in 3+ forums within 2+ days arguing over crap that you're mostly incorrect about, so there's that.
Interestingly, it's an ironically unpopular game, for how much it gets talked about... but it *should* have died out with that logic already two years ago after S03.5. But it didn't. A dead game isn't numbers from one platform and one faulty gamemode of said platform, my guy.
"Not my fault the place is a ghost town." Yeah, says someone who only looks at ranked, so no tihs you think that way. Play exhibition matches, more fun and a bigger pool of people there. It's a blessing this game was made with rollback from the get-go to begin with, so I don't know why you're so ♥♥♥♥-sure in your position.
And hey, I'm gonna shoot you, the messenger, because you don't have a message - in fact, I just noticed you don't have that mouse icon telling us you don't own the game to begin with! Yes, I know you own it on the XBOne, thanks for the info, but you still know jack tihs if you haven't tried it out on steam and saw for yourself.
So yah, shooting the messenger, because you don't have one. Cheers
I don't know what this means. Other forums? I don't go to any other forums for this game and before today I haven't even been here for weeks...
This thread isn't for angry defenders, it's for people considering playing so they know how small the population is. That's it and it's the truth.
Meant to say forum posts, that's my bad, still tho.
And hmmmmm, why even post here if you still don't own the game here? You'll get both angry defender and people countering your claims (and equally intentions), because as much as I believe that you're making them in goodwill, they are in the end unconstructive and useless.
Do you seriously believe everyone buys a game for the online numbers? How do you know someone isn't interested in the offline content, the game for the sake of it, or just for collecting purposes?
Besides, I think you just admitted that you're wrong - yes, the population is small, but no, it's not abysmal nor inexistent, on top of being incomplete in only one area of the package exclusive to this platform. It will be the truth if all the platforms - Steam, XBOne and the Microsoft store versions - drop to -10 players per month: only THEN will it be truly "dead" for a fighting game...
*As much as it's a shame, here's an actually "dead" online FG for comparison:
https://steamcharts.com/app/871200
**Edit: EX Layer's playerbases are split, as there's not crossplay, btw.
Not to someone considering the game. They would be better served with several other options. It is what it is.
"Not to someone considering the game."
By only looking at it's aspects from one perspective. This game is still an option, much like anything else, afterall - it's a free market my guy, and this product is still in circulation for as slow as it is.
Game ain't dead, it is as it is...
Sorry my English is not my language.
The game was launched in 2013, 7 years passed, other kinds of games come out, the fighting games most of us are over 30 years old, the boys now prefer to play fornite battle royale etc, you will never have 50,000 people playing a fighting game.
And I can tell you that it has the best netcode of all the fighting I played, if you are looking for more online players, you can go to street fighter v with crossplay ps4, but the netcode sucks.
Tekken 7
MK11
Dragon Ball Fighter Z
I have it in the microsoft store and I have no problem finding games that I can play ranked crossplay XBOX PC, but ensteam you won't be able to play ranked.
Luck.
The point of this thread (as fickle as it is) is to set it up as if the Steam version is completely dead, which is simply not true.
You mentioned it yourself, the ranked online is exclusive to itself without crossing to other platforms, casual and exhibition matches on the other hand do cross-play between the three without any issue and matches can be found in no time.
Pointless thread, move on.
A single game of Fall Guys has more players than the current steam population. Sorry, but Steam is totally dead and it's just foolish to buy it here. The game in general has struggled since its inception to retain players. Why get a handicapped version on top of that? I do kind of feel like I'm picking on you guys and have considered requesting removing the thread...it just seems like punching down at this point.
Neither are you "punching down", nor "picking on us", it's more like you are pulling a Sisyphus, but on yourself.
If ranked is all you want, fine then, get the kcuf out and enjoy your teabagging smurfs from every platform there. Just because you are biased towards one mode of play and trying to force people out of a purchase because of one easily workaroundable flaw, doesn't mean you are correct - which in fact you still aren't!
You don't own the game here, so why bother?
You don't seem to play exhibition or casual, so why bother?
It's just one version of the game ffs, and you decide this is the hill you die on - trying to justify your hard-on by forcing a purchase opinion for no valid reason?
Fall Guys is a different game of a different genre. Never used this proverb before, but "apples and oranges", not to mention it's a fad that's going to fade within two-three months until the next big indie thing comes along.
Word of advice: either cut the bulltihs, or buy the game, try it and *then* write a negative review, even if it's just a copy-paste of your trollbaiting topic message.
Try again.
Emotional response, maybe. Emotional argument, not even close. It's not a matter of liking the game, it's a matter of just showing an OP (you) that they're basing arguments off of a single perspective of a single flaw and contributing it to a larger problem as if it were it's biggest detriment.
You didn't have to respond the moment I and the few others debunked ridiculous theories, but despite that you've admitted to not even owning this version of the game and still tried to pass off as some purchase guide.
Let me make it clear: your argument is narrow and easily debunkable - you may continue to pursue it, but that won't make your point any more valid than it already isn't. On top of that, you even have the audacity to insert low-key condescension as if you were the victor by your own hand!
"Game is dead" - for rank chasers it surely is here. Everyone else is having a tight (albeit rocky), but healthily packed playerpool - everywhere.
Buy the game and drop a neg review or drop it.
