Are there DLC characters?
Title. Was thinking about picking this up on sale but noticed there are no DLC characters listed on the store page, which is insanely odd for a fighting game that has had multiple "seasons" and been out/active for as long as this one.

Every character was technically DLC at one point when it was only on Xbox. The base game was free and each characters could be purchased separately or bundled together with each season purchase. A random different random character would also be chosen every week to give the people who didn't want to spend money a chance to play different characters one at a time. The Steam Version of the game has all character pre-bundled together all as a complete came with a set price tag instead of the free to play model Xbox uses. The characters were sold as follows:

Season 1 (November 22, 2013):
Jago
Sabrewulf
Glacius
Thunder
Sadira
Orchid
Spinal
Fulgore
Shadow Jago (He was only available as a standalone purchase for a limited time. He did not come with the season 1 purchase)

Season 2 (October 15, 2014)
T.J. Combo
Maya
Kan-Ra
Riptor
Omen
Aganos
Hisako
Cinder
Aria

Season 3 (March 29, 2016)
Rash
Kim Wu
Arbiter
Tusk
Mira
Gargos
General RAAM
Eyedol

Post season 3 (March 30, 2016>)
(There was never a 4th season as origianally planned so these characters were only sold as standalone after season 3)
Kilgore
Shin Hisako
Eagle

Hope this helps clear some confusion! I highly suggest picking it up while it's on sale right now! I've played it since it first released back on Xbox in 2013 and it is still to this day My favorite fighting game!
Plus, Mick Gordon did the music for this game! <3

So just to be clear, just buying the game on Steam includes all of the content and there's no in-game purchases or such for more characters or content?

There is cosmetic costume items that you can buy using an in-game microtransaction currency that can be purchased with real money or earned in game but that's totally optional. It comes with all characters as well as their campaigns as well as the skin packs that were available for purchase on Xbox including the Terror skin pack and the Classic Skin pack which makes the characters look the way they did in 1994.

It's the full package, with some cosmetic unlocks, via real cash or XP grinding.

Yup!
I'd say this is one of the most consumer-friendly fighting games to buy, since you don't have to spend any cent on microtransactions.
