Me personally, I have a Hori mini arcade stick commin in today because TJ Combo's Auto Barage feels awkward on a controller.
But that's my comfort. So experiment.
I'd suggest you just use what you have available for now, whether that's a controller or whatever. Keyboard probably isn't the best, but you can make it work. It's more important to get comfortable with the game in general.
I'm using a Razer Panthera arcade stick, but I'm still pretty new to it and the game overall. I got it because I just really didn't like using the shoulder buttons on my logitech dual action controller with six-button fighting games.
Overall, I would caution against using the keyboard or an xbox controller for fighting games. Gamepad vs arcade stick is personal preference
You should be able to get just about any controller to work with the game through the steam Xinput wrapper. If that doesn't work, you can probably still make your controller work, but you'll have to do the tinkering on your own. Remember, people have beaten Dark Souls with controllers ranging from donkey kong bongo controllers to bananas., so I'm sure it's possible to use playstation controllers with KI.
How did you get the Switch Pro to work with this game? Doesn't work for me whatever settings I try
you can use the steam controller options found in the View menu at top of steam then click on Settings then Controller then General Controller Settings button
View menu > Settings >controller > general controller settings button
and tick the following:
"Use Switch Config Support"
"Generic Gamepad Support"
optional if you want the A,B,X and Y like switch instead of XBOX tick "Use Nintendo Button Layout"
also check its the correct controller name before closing "[X]" in top corner
i think that's how its done, I am using a PDP Switch pro style Controller
Thank you. Haven't tried running both of this options together (Switch & Generic)
Isnt that made for the playstation? You can get the Hori Mini to work with Killer Instinct????
