How exactly do you execute an ultimate finisher?

Only certain characters have Ultimates, but in order to perform one, you need to first win the game while still on your Green life bar, start an Ultra Combo, then within the first eight hits of that Ultra, press both Lights.

You will see a U icon next to the character in the select screen.

You must been in your first life bar (Supreme Victory) during the first few hits of an ultra combo (not a stage ultra) , press Low Punch and Low Kick (Same movement as a throw) to activate the Ultimate,

However only Shadow Jago has a different input, Quarter Circle Forward + LP + LK during instinct mode on first life bar

I believe that is the Ultra, Ultimate is LP+LK

With XBOX Controller - there is a quicker way to activate it, hold down on the right analog stick

That's his Ultra Combo input, yes. The Ultimate is triggerred by inputting a Throw in the first few hits of that.

Inputting an Ultra is done with the special input (if using an Xbox controller, default will be Left Bumper for punches, Left Trigger for kicks) during a combo while an opponent is in the Danger Zone (15% or less of their red life bar). At the start of the Ultra Combo, if you still have your green life bar, hit the throw input (both light punch and kick, defaulted to X+A on an Xbox controller) and the Ultimate finisher will be performed.
The exception to this is Shadow Jago, whose Ultimate input is Quarter-Cricle Forward+ Throw (X+A) in the same situation as above, rather than during an Ultra Combo.
