Cannot download game updates since server shutdown?

I'm creating a new thread just for those who cannot play the offline portions of the game since the servers shut down.

Modes that shouldn't be playable now (going by this article[support.2k.com]) are the following:

• The Neighborhood including PRO-AM and MyPARK (I believe online MyCareers cannot be converted to offline, so you'll need to start a new one)
  
• MyLEAGUE Online
  
• MyTEAM

If you're having issues updating or getting things to work, please post here with a full description of what's happening.

Note to others: you you have to Disable Steam Cloud BEFORE you delete the data otherwise it just puts it back in the folder when you launch the game. So disable cloud, delete the data, start the game. Hope that helps.

If you delete and reinstall it, it will still be the same.
What should I do?

Turn off cloud saves for the game, and follow my instructions above to remove your old online files. When you start the game after removing the files it will complain that files are corrupted and recreate them and say it cannot connect to the server, it will also have you create a new character. You can then play career in offline mode.

Will that work for all online modes that have an offline component?

It appears to. I was able to do a play now, and I had the option to start a new offline GM.

You will be starting new on everything though. There is no continuation of what you had before.

Solution is at the top of this thread. You need to turn off cloud saves and remove existing files in the games remote folder.

MyCareer is broken after I did this. At the end of the game, it becomes frozen and nothing happens so I have to force quit the application at that point.
