Nobody knows yet if you get more money through contracts.
At i think 95 overall you get double money
Also according to some people on reddit, the lowest difficulty is a bit broken in terms of shooting. People claim they can't even do layups there.
Playing on a higher difficulty helps with your badge progression.
You have to live with the 500+ VC you get
Yeah, endorsements also give less overall.
The News Agent thing gave me 10 VC. TEN! And for that i had to go to my court, get the shirt, walk to the newsstand and back to the agent office
The VC grind this year is insane.
All i had was:
- Billboard for the driving school gave me 100 VC, the Billboard is visible on the Dunk Court across your MyCourt
- Magazine cover, though you don't get anything for that
- Tattoo Parlor (i think 50 VC or so?)
- News Stand (10 VC)
- Autograph session at the NBA Store, can't remember if i got even something for that.
I got each 3 shoes from Nike and Under Armor though they are only available to be used on Pro Am and are rather generic looking
That was all so far after 15 games played.
Certainly 2K makes a lot more for their "endorsements" considering how much they shove JBL and those Corn Flakes (and they aren't even available here...) down our throats. Especially those cornflakes, there come like 4 cutscenes in a row where that annoying chinese chick is going crazy about them...
I think 5 seasons or so, all games played, that should net you just enough to upgrade your player. Which of course takes a lot of time. Especially since you also have to spend time in the Team Gym to get the Badges which also takes a lot of time.
Once you are in the locker before your match (when your player is sitting), press on the right stick then you will be able to change your shoes ;)
Oh cool they are available there too. Thanks for the tip :)

...so even if you play only 3min qtrs quick and on rook lvl there by playing even with a 90+ kareem or shaq right away and just a single friend (y need minimum just 2 players to start that mode up !) who might struggle the same like you over that VC issue...you can basicly easy farm VC there while still having fun in some NBA games while still working on your personal ingame skill lvl too even if you really only into getting VC out of it without going over annoying cutscenes or searching for any opponents online as a 60+ player by playing just a fun NBA game overall allday everyday!!!! + give the middle finger to all that silly merchandise stuff in those myplayer modes too and tell 2k to basicly f*** em without paying a single dime on VC ever again or wasting time on stuff you aint care about in an NBA sim game like NBA2k (fun fact you not evn need to care about myplayer cheaters either in it ever !!)
...so use that VC from it then to build up your single player character from scretch with ez later ....and even if i personally think you not even need a single badge in that game anyway...but with a build up 80+ character with theVC you earned there getting those badges later in yoursingle player career or at some playground games should be way easier then !
think you should get at least 500+ VC if not more for 3min qtr on rook lvl there and it shoudlk not even be teamgrade related !!! ...personally never tested it since always playing HOF in it and i aint care about getting VC anyway but think it aint change anyway no matter the lvl or your teamgrade...and at the begining of the season we had like 600+ VC from each game we played ....and builded up a full 80+ character for free with not even playing any f***** single my player games ever or making nonsense 2k sponsored virtual shoe deals by running around some generic virtual neighberhood !!!
so that post of course only for those who just like building up a single player tgt with some friend(s) while still having fun in some NBA games in an NBA sim game like NBA2k....simple as that ...so now let the flaming begin...xd --->
edit: +extra for the NBA2k rooks around ...you can easily check on every position you like to play in that mode too and basicly every player build to work out on your ingame skills and like your single myplayer build after it later on without wasting any time or VC on any my player build you might get tyred of after a month of building him up already just to find out later it aint suits you at all...from an all around hall of fame player up to a limited outside shooter or defensive type player for ex. !
so basicly you aint need any "my" career salary or good performance in every game by playing with some friend(s) online (not to mention it but bball in general aint played alone usually...if you aint just like to call it a simple single player shootout) ...to get you some easy NBA salary (VC) in some NBA games in that NBA2k game ...sounds pretty fair overall from 2k if you ask me...hf and gl !!!
