Strength is your problem, and ancillarily so is weight. To do contact dunks you need strength. Big players with strength and weight will power over people. Light weight players when someone has a hand on them go for layups. 2k nerfed (in their own way) so called speed boosting cheese by making every speed boosting build pretty much too weak/light to contact dunk. That said I was watching speed boosting play-sharps cheese it up all day today by boosting to easy layups and then pulling up for easy 3s when people sagged off to stop the cheese. It was pretty sickening.
There is a bug in 2k. PG's have a heavy HEAVY bias toward layups. The same 6'6" slasher build (with the same stats) on a SG or SF will dunk all the time. meanwhile on a PG he'll layup. Seems to be a bug, which was detailed in a /r/nba2k thread yesterday.
ball handling, speed, vertical, dunk. For now I can't do contact dunks, I mean I get posterizer but can't use contact dunk animations. For that I need driving dunk 82, if I'm not mistaken. For now i have 79 and 4 empty upgrade caps on strenght. So I guess It will be ok also. Shooting works on %.
Green release (excelent) is 100% score. Good is like around from 60-80%. Slighty early is like around 60-70%. Slighty late around 50-60%. Everything else is below 50%. This numbers are not 100% accurate just assessment. All u need is to find "green" shoot release. Cheers
