Not everyone has been playing this game for 6+ years...
That's how it was the last years actually.
They removed it because they went full on greedy microtransaction mode and basically replaced it with the "Double Money" thing you get once your player reaches, i think it was 95 overall.
No, it really was just to force more people to buy VC.
You should get compensated for playing and succeeding on a higher difficulty. That's how ALL games work: Higher difficulty means higher score, more XP, more money, whatever. Has been that way everywhere since games got invented.
To further prove that it's all about the Microtransaction: They also slashed the VC's you could from the companion app in half compared to the previous years.
You make a whole lot less VC now than ever before. How can anybody defend this?
And 2x money for HoF wouldn't make it unfair, it would just make getting basic things easier. Considering i currently at the start of my career get about 600 VC per match, with HoF Multiplier it would be 1200, so at least i could buy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ haircut and haircolor with just 1 game played instead of 2. And just the fact that haircuts and color cost this absurd amount should show where 2K is heading.
Badge progression is faster on higher difficulties though. You receive more points for everything you do.
