Why do I suck in 2K18?

Moved to XBOX because of all the filthy cheats on PC 2K17. It's great, everyone is legit. The only thing is, I'm having a really hard time with the 2K17 to 2K18 switch. My record in MyPark is as.s. 22 wins 34 losses. I used to win at a .700 clip in MyPark 2K17. And that included playing against a ton of cheating sobs. I figured, remove those cheating sobs and my record should be .900.

Some of it is probably cause I'm still 88 vs a lot of 90's running around. And some of it is probably cause of all random squadmates. (XBOX and PS4 suck as a platform for chatting with buddies and matching up - instead of just switching parks, the console kicks you back to the main screen and reloads the entire game to get you in the same park as your friend). But I cannot get used to this switch.

What is your archetype? Is your height, weight, wingspan and position optimal for your arch?
Do you move on the court the way your arch is supposed to move on and off ball?
Do you time your cuts to the basket so that you don't clog the paint?
Do you space the floor correctly?
Do you time your passes correctly?
Do you make maximum use of your best badges correctly?
Do you know how to take full advantage of the picknroll/pop as a handler/screener, the most basic play for park?

After reading what you wrote, I get the feeling that you imply that you have all these on point and it's your teammates that sell you every game. Or that a 2 overall difference (probably a +2 point advantage on some irrelevant stat) is enough to make you lose more games.

Focus on identifying the weaknesses in your play, tell us where you struggle and then we can give you some actual, useful feedback.

2k18 is more geared towards the fundamentals of the game. Meaning, you have to pay attention to what you are doing. You can't spam dribble moves, and if you make a mistake on D...you get toasted. I hear, and read, about a LOT of players complaining that they suck at the game. I have 2 builds, an 88 SG, and an 86 PG. Since I play to my strengths, and work on my weaknesses, I fair pretty well. It took me a little bit, and some YouTube videos, to realize the differences in the game. As soon as I started slowing down my thought process, and adopted a "Less is More" mentallity, when it comes to controls, I started doing better. My main problem was dribbling, and being crowded, as the ball handler. I will complain, though. I've had players smoke me on a fastbreak, and that dude is a 72, and much slower than me, according to the numbers. The grind in this years version of the game is more brutal, if you take a 2k17 approach. Just cater to your dudes strengths. The dude meh pretty much summed it up. If you can't shoot, analyze your shot chart. If you suck on D, pay more attention to your surroundings. Spacing is key, this year. More often than not, if you aren't where you should be, the AI will punish you for it. It's VERY possible to be good, this year. Grind it out.

lol some of these guys, yeah it's a fact, the better player will play more than you. Live with that fact and stop complaining. Or get better, get a consistent group of guys with which you can win. Decide if you're gonna be a casual or a comp and live with that. Don't judge someone for having more hours and better records in a game. My point exactly. If you didn't hack, a simple " I don't hack" would have been enough.
