I haven't played this game in a long time but as I remember it you use to have to try out of a team you were given a list of contracts to try out for and earn your spot on their team at one of their practices now all you do is pick the team you want and you're automatically on their team? What happened to the way it was?

Career mode where you start off in your apartment with your manager and he's talking about how some teams are giving you a shot and to go meet with their coach at their practice before the coach allows you to play and if you do well enough you get to play on their team that's what I remember from last time I played.

Like all these things from My career now there is none of that you just pick your team and you're automatically playing on the team where did all this content go? You don't even get to play WHT vs BLK anymore?

I just feel a little ripped off that you can cut content after one has already paid for it.

The servers shut down in 2020. Anything that involves multiplayer or vc is gone.


Part of this is the story in mycareer. Why does this get affected from the server shutdown i have no idea other then its just nother thing to coax people to buy the newest nba2k game.

Well now you know. And it will be the same for 2k19 and 2k20. When 2k19 goes down this year. (if it hasnt already I just know it 2k19s server will go down sometime this year) its story vc and multiplayer will be gone.


Some time in 2022 nba 2k20 server will go down and its story, vc, and multiplayer will be gone.


So keep this in mind when you buy a nba2k game. you roughly have 2 years with the game. Having its story,multiplayer, vc and anything that you can purchase with vc.


Until someone makes a big enough stink this is how they are doing it. ONce the servers go down for any nba2k game, the multiplayer, vc,anything you can purchase with vc and story is romoved.

Play with and against the classic teams, it's much more enjoyable than grinding a lame player into someone just as good as kyrie, which might be the point of career. Exhibition is fun enough.

that is why they need to separate the My Career Online and Offline there are people that still want to play My Career but can't do it anymore because of the online features.
