Is this game really that bad?

Hi guys so the last nba game i played was nba 2k13 on the ps3 and ive been feeling like i should get back into it now on the pc, however ive seen the reviews and it doesnt look pretty. Is it really that bad?

as a basketball game, its the best out there, people complain about mycareer cause they want everything handed to them, switch to the positive reviews and there are some big reviews there that explain why people QQing all the time!

People complain about buying VC, you dont need to buy...
People complain about archetypes, better than 7foot players making 3s from one basket to another.

People complain about everything and anything... dont let that stop you..

Watch youtube lets plays from agent00 or from Smoove and see how the game is and then think about it...

For me game is awesome, i would definately tell you to buy it!

You want the truth? This is a microtransaction laden garbage fest. Career mode takes 240-360 games to get from 60 to 86....the game was purposefully made to frustrate you into spending money on microtransactions.

Wanna buy a hairstyle? No Previews, but just Ace 3 games....you don't like that hairstyle? WELP! You're stuck with it now until you buy another one because every hairstyle is a one time purchase!

and after all the complaining woot they reduced the haircut prices LMAO 2k is a joke this year.. oh and they went and stop my league from ofeering vc as it was intended in the first place they just got mad cause people found out about it and werent buying thier precious vc.. guess they thought the community wouldnt notice the bs this year ... its bad enough the pc community is so small compared to consoles and now people are just not wanting to play . buyer beware at least until a few more patches hit is my advice

nah its good just the vc is an issue and imo every 2k has been pay to win basically maxing stats in my park because i never liked playing the mycarerr part of it just liked the park aspect. oh and the cutscenes are cancer thats about it.

Overall the gameplay aint that bad its the other aspects that are bad. The gameplay is rated 9/10 but the other stuff like way expensive vc for the game and merging my career with online experience has really hit the game hard.

It's the Best basketball game in the market. Negative reviews cuz they have a potato pc/internet or just don't like microtransactions vc. Others are Chinese complaining about servers

No.... It is a really solid game. The problem is, people do not like the MyCareer mode because it has more microtransactions than in the past. If you are wanting a great basketball game, this is it! If you are wanting a basketball career rpg with online MMO style touches, be ready for microtransactions. You can earn the virtual currency in game, but people want to complain because tons of people are just throwing down the cash and buying VC to level up. Also, use the MyNBA2K app on your phone and they are practically throwing VC at you.
