Auto generated rookies

im thinking about buying this game and i am wondering how good the auto generated rookies are, looks wise and performance wise

they look surprisingly human this year. their performance varies from completely trash to unstoppable. Just got a first pick in MyGM and the rookie got the ceiling of lebron james and he carries my rather okay-ish rebuilding team into heaven averaging 37/8/10 in 17 games already.
If I were you I would wait a bit more since the game is still pretty buggy... after all those patches... so rather wait until on sale or planetkey or sth like that. have a nice day

Sometimes there will be one or two studs, other times maybe one, while 3-4 can be in one draft. Seems to be a good variety, worth my time to pound my noodle as to what picks I want to trade for, not knowing who will be in the next draft class. Landing a potential superstar also brings a bit of excitement, so imo, this part of the game is pretty fun if you know how to hustle for picks at the right time.

This is the first 2k series I've played, I can't compare anything that others might be able to for ya.

Legends that make jordan and lebron look like noobs. Rookie classes on default settings will generate awesome players that over 2-3 seasons turn into awesome players.
