I'm stuck at level 17

Hi guys, so I don't know how to complete a mission the game gives you at level 17.

Don't read any further if you don't want to spoil the fun, you've been warned.



I'm asked to be still for 1:00 minute, but the counter stops at 10 seconds, then the mission changes and now I have to move the pointer for 1:00 minute, then at 10 seconds the mission changes again and so on. I know I'm missing something here, the game tells me to consult another panel for - I think - the solution but I don't know what to do.
In the meantime I completed everything else, unlocked every upgrade and researched every element, the problem is I can't go on with evolution if I don't level up, so I can't complete the game.

Can you help me figuring this out, please?

Same issue. Can't complete this quest, it cycles between 4 subquests whenever it reaches 10 seconds!

I've done it, now I feel a bit stupid. @puchbergerbernh, all I can say is to check the exclamation marks.

maybe I translate it wrong .. but if i translate it into german it would be "ausrufezeichen" or as Symbol "!" ... haven't found any ! marks

edit : have clicked everything ... but nothing happened .. please help me ... me too stupid

Yes, correct.
The "!" are referred to a message that appears in the bottom left of the screen (in the objective window) when you are in another tab, like upgrades, exchange, etc. You just have to read the text in the ojective window, the real mission appears for just a second there but every time it appears it adds another "!" in the same window. Just wait there.

The game is wonderfull, but i'm sorry to say that this objective is really really stupid and not funny at all...

Similar to an earlier level mission that says to do something with the element Se, but then when I do that, it switches to saying to do it with element Te.
That was annoying, and looked more like a bug, rather than a "secret mission".

I ended up just putting everything onto both and having both go at the same time, so that it couldn't complain about switching.

It would be a fun/funny trick if one were to understand or be expecting it, but to have it just happen without any sort of knowledege just comes across as frustrating. XD

For me it just cycles between "Remain here"/"Back to the game screen", adding the exclamation marks to the "Back to the game screen" message.
Basically just seems to be down to accumulating a certain number of exclamation marks, really stupid.

(I'm not bothering to spoil this, since I figure that if you're this far in the thread, you want to know the dang answer. )

I went to another screen and expanded the lower-left mission dialog so I could see the message. Then I waited until there were many exclamation marks and the mission turned yellow (indicating completion). I waited a bit more (to be safe), then returned to the main screen.

This actually took me a few attempts, even after reading the above thread. I don't know if it was because I collapsed the mission dialog before returning to the main screen, or you have to return to the main screen at the correct time when the message is blinking.

Due to it taking a few attempts, and the mission objective being completely unclear, I don't think I would have ever figured out what you were supposed to do. (Warning: grumpiness ahead.) I understand it was supposed to be tricky, but if I wanted to play a game where I had to guess what illogical, convoluted thing I had to do, I would play an illogical adventure game, such as one listed at http://www.pcgamer.com/the-10-worst-and-most-wtf-puzzles-in-adventure-gaming/ .

But enough of my emitting . Overall, the majority of the missions are clear, and even the ones that were a bit vague were OK. I just give this one mission a .

Thank you so much N'fol. I was getting the yellow mission, if we collapse it before going back, the mission is not completed. Just go back to first panel without touching it.

after this thread i'm sitting here with even more "??????????????????????????????????" over my head....

This is the most "un-idle-gamy"-idle-game-mechanic, i have EVER seen in an idle game... and oh boy I have played nearly every of those games....
this objective seems to be by far the most stupid thing I ever had to face in a game that can be considered (besides this stupid objective) "easy as f*ck" to such an extent...
