It still worth buying this game or the OG is better?

Hi. After I've played the OG Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion which is free to play, I have a question about this one. It still worth buying this game? And the HD Renovation is a improvement? There are new features which the OG doesn't have it? Besides the dev said that this game should be released in Europe the digital version on console, like PlayStation. But years are passed and this game hasn't been released on PS Store in Europe yet. Oh, and this game supports the VR. So more jumpscares with the VR, great lol. The dev should add the Steam Workshop as support.

I still think it's worth buying, especially if you enjoyed the original game. It basically has some QOL improvements in certain areas and brand new 3D models for most entities in the game (with the rest getting new 3D models in the upcoming SOUP update). It also has a "Build Your Own Mansion" feature coming at some point in the future that will use Steam Workshop. I know the devs have been working to get this game over to Europe at some point, although they're busy right now with a massive update to the game coming soon. It's entirely up to you, but if you enjoyed the original and are looking to try out Spooky's in a new way, I think you'll enjoy this too.

Yes, the original version is not updated anymore, while this version still is getting updated as of writing this. You can still play both if you want of course, nothing is stopping you.

Oh I see. It's an abandoned game without updates, so I move to this one. But I still need to explore the original game first, I feel there are much things to do.

I've played 3,2 hours in original game, I think I will support the developers by buying the HD Renovation. Of course I didn't finished the story, but I've played the endless mode only to try, and oh gosh it's totally random. This looks great to kill time. Oh, do you remember when I said for console? I was thinking to buy this game on console, but I changed my mind. Modding is more important, I wanna get more content and custom content, so I'll buy on Steam. I hope the developers will keep update this game. I left a good review in original game, but it's italian, so you'll need to use the translator.
