HD or F2P?

I've been considering playing this for some halloween spooks because I always thought what I'd seen looked pretty good. But I've noticed that in the HD version, whilst the 3D models are nice, the texture quality on some things aren't as nice. For example, the Husks don't look very scary with the lower quality, less-detailed texture.

the hd version is definitely better than the f2p. it fixes bugs, it runs better, and it's getting mod support soon. if you ever want the 2D sprites in the hd version, the game has a function you can use to switch between styles, but you need to bind it to a button first
the only problem is the dolls dont change to their 2d counterparts for some reason

How exactly do you do that?

The upcoming S.O.U.P. update will be updating a lot of the models and making them creepier, especially some of the less creepy ones like the Husks. However, that update does not have a release date yet.

bind "style swap" to a key in the input options. once you press the binded key, it'll toggle between the free version and the hd version

HD is better in every way, except in a few monster designs, and the doll in doll house only having 2 emotions to show her current state, as opposed to 6 in the original.
