Well no, it does behave exactly like the water monster from amnesia and the design of sprinting to the next point above water is the same mechanic. In fact even the splashing chase sounds and animation are very similar. Sure the introduction is different but it's about as obvious a reference as it gets.
2 - Unsure but Ive seen it claimed as the Lub Glubs from Adventure Time which were a genuinely freaky goo and teeth monster species.
3 - Seemingly Resident Evil. Especially the Spider enemies and bosses like Black Tiger.
4 - Japanese Ghosts. Think Sadoko from The Ring (she even uses TV static to blind you in endless) and The Grudge.
5 - Silent Hill. Pretty much just a Nurse fused with Pyramid Head. Bonus points for chase theme having siren noises.
6 - Legend of Zelda Creepypasta BEN DROWNED with a dash of SCP 173/Weeping Angels.
7 - Likely Giygas at least in terms of looks
8 - Wendigos, a real world cryptid. Also probably The Beast from Over the Garden Wall.
9 - Japanese Unit 731 who did human experiments with chemicals and even referred to them as Logs as 9 does to bodies.
10 - The Thing, a slight dash of Dead Space Necromorphs and of Aliens with how it bursts out of the original specimen 10 too Id think.
11 - Demons in general but apparently its also a reference to an old Litle Big Planet level Akuma Kira made.
12 - Clock Towers Scissorman.
13 - Sirens from Greek Myth and that water monster from Amnesia.
Karamari Hospitals seem to be much more original, though Bekka is a reference to Rebecca Black of the song Friday fame and the Cow/Monster 5 seems to reference Mad Cow Disease and the Minotaur of the Maze myth.
Whiteface of Endless Mode is literally just him from the IMSCARED freeware game.
Unknown Specimen 2 Otto the Otter is Five Nights at Freddies and put in and made intentionally terrible because people wouldnt shut up about wanting a specimen from that series.
I dont know if Spooper references anything in particular.
Tirsiak looks to be based on the Fox Lady from Inuit myth.
Lisa is just Lisa from the cancelled Silent Hills game and P.T.
Some of these I figured out pretty easily from the start, others I had to look up.
Edit: Also remembered BEN in the creepypasta tended to only move when not looked at so that might also be why 6 has that mechanic.
Also, he's probably only in because he tried to cheer Spooky up when she was still alive, which might also be why his name is Spooper.
The restaurant is a reference to Akuma Kira's little big planet level "100% Beef Corp". Specimen 11 itself is... well... a demon and is factually the best specimen.
