Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation

How many ways Specimen 9 (base form) can kill me?
So far, I know about the wall closing and the 5 minutes AFK method from the original version of the game. In this version Specimen 9 unexpectedly jumpscared the heck out of me and killed me. I just paused the game and I just wanted to answer a message to a Steam friend without the music played in the background. It took like 8 seconds maximum? Not longer. And so, the jumpscare from him just happened.

The idle timer is way shorter in HD and if my personal not-so-official testing is any indication, just hanging around can also cause it. Not sure if it's a bug or not though.

It's actually painful to be exact. If I get enough free time I will actually test it how it works.

The idle timer is way shorter, but it shouldn't have been eight seconds. Testing has determined it to be around a minute last I checked, from 5 minutes in OG.

It has to be standing still. I don't think mouse movements make you count as being active and time doesn't pause while notes are being read.

I should have recorded it to prove what I actually did, but I don't remember a minute rather a few seconds. Maybe it was a minute, but I did not felt it that long time spent without doing anything. Also as far as I remember I paused the game as well in order to prevent Specimen 9 encounter. (maybe I paused it and accidentally unpaused it right after it, I'm uncertain about what happened) I could not even hear it's chase theme in the background so I was completely unsuspicious about it's approach.

You know, I once died to Specimen 9 while not moving during the Speedrun Strats achievement. I was at Room 1000 when he got me. Needless to say I was less than happy about the situation.

Why did you go AFK in a critical achievement like this on the first place?

It's easy to get counted as AFK and killed at 1k since you have to wait like a minute for the simulator to crap out and let you go to 9.

Protip: Keep moving even if you have to wait when that happen. Specimen 9 does not kill you without a reason while other Specimen beings gladly kill you no matter what.

he can kill you in 3 ways the final boss. in a room were there is a dead end to the right a door to the left and a long hallway if you go down the hall he will pop out and kill you in one hit and if you are idle for one min

As far as I know he can kill you:
-Being idle for 1 minute
-The boss fight
-Going down the endless hallway
-Being idle for 1 minute in pause [Bug I think]
not sure if intentional, but i remember once accidentally activating the sticky keys shortcut message (pressing shift 5 times quickly) and the popup being over the game immediatly spawned specimen 9. i don't think it works in the hd remake but it was very fascinating

If I recall, in the original, alt-tabbing out sped the game up like 20 times as fast, so the five minute timer became something like 10 seconds.
