any cheats? Money cheats as well?

So i've restarted playing this game after a long hiatus, and I've fallen in love with it again. I just wish i could start with more money. Does anyone have a cheat where you can start with like $100k instead of $40k? Also does anyone know of other cheats? I found a website that promised cheats, but I'm not sure if it is legit. If you have cheat engine can cheat money quite easily.
1) Start game
2) Locate your starting $$$
3) Load CE and select "Jagged alliance back in action" from the process list
4) Use CE to search for the value of your $$$
5) Buy something
6) Get the new value of your $$$
7) CE = Scan for value change
8) Should have about 7 results, chose the top one change to something like 9mill

Done.
