No soldiers living in military base

I built a military base and hired generals, but no soldiers came and lived in it. How to I make them live there?

I have the same problem. I need to hire 5 soldiers, but non one comes after build it.

First you need to build an armory or an army base for generals, then you need to build guard stations for soldiers. Every general allows you to build a new guard station.

Or you can build a bunker if you are playing with Modern Times rules.

I did all of that, but only a handfull of soldiers went and lived in the base.

Do you have a HS? Unless concription is running soldiers have to be HS educated and generals are college educated (I think its concription that changes that...). Mind it is a good practice, though I often forget, to also fire cowardly soldiers.

I had guard posts and bunkers, all of them with soldiers, yet they still didn't go and live in the base.

The army base is probably too far from their workplaces. They also may have a spouse who works too far away, and they won't commute.
Just build the army base right next to a stack of towers, and then put up a radio station next door to take care of the oppression.

Put a garage next to the military base. They won't live at the base if it is not convenient.

Worked a bit, still not as many as I hoped for, but still good. I don't want to put my military structures right next to civilian structures, as I like to build them up in a mountain with lots of barricades and bunkers, but I still build things like houses just outside the compounds.

That might be the issue. The military base is just a house. The same criteria apply as with the Apt. Blocks, house, mansions, Bunk house, etc. Regarding it's location to work, food source, and entertaiment. If you place it in the middle of nowhere, it will not be attractive to the soldiers.

Yeah garages are very important. They need them by their "far" post and by the base.
