New patch is up?
A patch that's 141.7 MB was downloaded recently.

Is it a global fix, or some content for another DLC?

I second this. 4th patch of large size in recent weeks. What gives?

Can't start the game anymore. Black screen. Anyone who has the same problem?

Nope, just tried.

Check files cache integrity.

I wonder why they don't give more info on these patches.... is it more dlc, bug fixes, or what?

Last time they said it was language additions, but that was after 3 patches were released of large sizes, and they said only 1 patch. So who knows what is going on.

Localization tweaks and a fix for the particle issue some users have been reporting with certain DLC combinations. Typically if there is no official changelog for an update, no gameplay-relevant changes have been made.

It would be nice, if you could still make announcement about the updates, even if they are small ones, so the community doesn't need to go mad every time an update comes up.

Thank you for the info, and for updating this sweet game! :)

It would still be splendid if you could provide a small announcement. Just something official. We don't want to know where you live or if you sympathize with rebels (you aren't, ARE YOU?!?!!!) but just a small headline like: minor changes to localization would be a great thing. Because there are lots of people who still care for your games - like you!

Another small update fixing an English voiceover issue for the Korean language version was just released.

I was having a problem where the game had worked before, but after many weeks of not running it, and an update had been applied - it would not start.

I expected to see intro movies, but instead saw a black screen, game mouse pointer replacing normal windows mouse pointer, no game sounds. CPU usage: zero.

[Alt]-[F4] quit back to desktop. Steps below worked for me - not suggesting this will fix all problems:

Try starting the game in Safe Mode.
Note that you will have to undo this afterward, or it will ALWAYS start in safe mode!

In your steam library, right click / properties for Tropico 4.
Click button for "Set Launch Options..."
put "-safe" (without quotes) in the text box.
Start game, and if it starts up - then you can go into game Options menu and push visual settings / resolution back up.

Remember to remove "-safe" from "Set Launch Options" !

Just had the update and the files that were changed are:

Eastpoint.hpk
NuclearTakedown.hpk
Propaganda.hpk
Update1.hpk
Voodoo.hpk

all of these are in the DLC folder.
