There really isn't much you can do besides place the dock, airport, and some hotels. Don't bother placing most attractions, tourists will eventually end up wandering over to the entertainment buildings meant for Tropicans anyway, no point in having buildings that Tropicans can't use. The Blimp and Hot Air Balloon atractions are usefull, and the Botanical garden raises beauty so you might want to place that as well.
As far as money is concerned though each person working in tourism is someone who could be working in a more profitable job
I started small with 1 hotel, natives village, cocktail bar and a beachsite. Seems the tourists are on a clock as they tour each site one after the other. Will be adding more as cash is availabale.
Like said, it is possible to rely exclusively on tourism, but it's a bit slow-going and not as profitable.
Personal favourite attraction is the beach site. Cheap, only uses 1 person, and it rakes in lots of money.
Try not to add too many attractions for each tourist type, or you'll end up with attractions not being used at all.
What's the correct Entry Fee to set for (any and all) Attractions? Can't seem to find that magic number that keeps people visiting but at the same time making me money.
I read somewhere that they pay x5 of what your local Tropicans pay to enter, any fancy up to verify that?
I used to think that the "spending limit" just meant that they wouldn't spend more than that much money on a single attraction, and wouldn't enter if it's set higher than that number...but now i think that's just an indication of how much they spend at an attraction full stop.
Whatever it is, one thing's for sure: having an abundance of cheaper attractions is much worse than having a single expensive attraction. They just seem to go to whatever has the highest quality, and then leave the island.
Anyway, every tourist has at least 20. Usually around the start it's around 30 to spend.
