How to stop starvation?
I have 2 market place, 2 farm, importing corn, efficient teamsters, but still I have victims of starvation. What can I do?

Link does't work. I have no idea what's wrong with my island.

1 food farm/fishery per 50 people is usually enough. Could you take a screenshot of your island? Do you have people taking very long walks?
You either have lack of food or lack of market places.

You say how many markets and farms you have but that's meaningless without knowing what the rest of your island is like.

I usually have only 1 market at the center of town, and put restaurants/gourmet restaurants with prices low enough that everyone can go there. Fullfills food and entertainment at the same time.

Personally I think his problem is a lack of garages and people having to walk for so long they starve.

It's my beatiful island comrades:

I have about 400 people and lack of food. 3 farms and fishery can't supply them.
Traffic jams makes teamsters job harder. I forgot to increase import value more than 5000$.

veryinky: I didn't know that restaurants increase food quaility, I thought that it only increase entertainment. Thanks
Building more restaurant( I have only one) and increase import volume may help my people.

What they eat(except corn and fish)?

They eat corn, papaya, banana, pineapple, beef, cheese, and fish.

I'd increase farms/fisheries up to 8, for a population of 400+. Though traffic jams are mostly caused by intersections, try to reduce the number of them as much as possible.

For example, have an industrial road loop that goes from the for profit farms/plantations to the factories which leads to the ports, generally making a circle around your main city. Then have a second loop inside the city for services traffic, with two intersections connecting the two loops.

Spreading out your city also helps, creating a small suburb for farming with it's own chapel, restaurant, garage, clinic and housing.

Put your market places near garages and in the centers of major population centers. Create more docks and unlimit your import limits. Create roads to farms and put teamsters near them so they transport them to the market places.

EIther there is not enough food or your citizens can not reach the food.

The three things I just mentioned should fix both if both problems exist.

One farm supports up to 50 citizens. If you have less, you need to import the food. Survivalist will reduce this number.

Thanks everyone. I hire some teamsters, set up unlimited import and build some restaurants.
Now my little island have no problems with food.
Improving road connection is imposible on this island because of lack of space but in next I will better plan constructions.

I'm pretty sure restaurants do fulfill the food requirement; I think one of the in-game tutorials even said so (one of the few actually helpful hints in a game that generally lets you figure out the fine art of benevolent dictatorship on one's own).

Only to people who can pay. For the elderly, unemployed or students need marketplaces.

I check that, it's sure, restaurants provide food and entertainmant.

Well, the downside to restaurants is they're much more expensive than marketplaces (2000 vs 500) and have a limited seating capacity, and it takes time for tropicans to eat at a restaurant instead of instantly getting food from a marketplace.

Beyond that I guess it'd be a good way to kill off the unproductive elderly/unemployed on the island, though there's probably a downside I'm not seeing right now.
