Giant Jesus Statue Benefits?

Is there much of a benefit in building the giant Jesus statue? Seems like a heavy investment for little return. I invested in it and watched it for a few years - it never brought in any income and seldom had visitors. I positioned it just outside of my city limits off of a road but now I question its long term value. Guess it might depend on the current island situation too (this was during a campaing mission and not Sandbox).

I've only ever built it when I'm investing heavily in tourism, I build it and then direct a Tour Office to it. But no I've never noticed any direct return on it either.

It is an objective in a campaign mission though I belive...

I think a giant Skeksis Chamberlain statue (from "The Dark Crystal") should give some benefit!

it provides a fairly large boost to enviormental beauty around it, which deternmines the enviormental happiness of the poeple around it and if you were given a certain mission by the religious faction it will boost their relations; ut won't boost actual religious satisfaction though.

(enviormental happiness is a stat every person has, different from your relations with the enviormentalists)

Actually this statue boost religion happiness when a citizen visit it and also give a slight chance to convert the citizens that visit the statue to the religious faction.

Is there any income generated from it though? I though there was a field to show that - and, for me, it made nothing for almost five years.
