Hey,

If I build roads near the farms will it get more freight to th dock? I mean... If I connect farms directly to roads, will I get more exportation?

Thanks

No, if all you do is build farms along roads, nothing will happen. However, if you build garages near farms and connect those garages to the road network, teamsters will be able to transport farm goods by hand to the garage, then transport them by car to your docks. I do not know if a Teamster office would work as well, but garages also let your farmers and people coming to farms to pick up household meals to drive away from the farm instead of having to walk all the way to their next destination.

Garages are your friend. 90% of transportation and housing problems encountered by newbies can be solved by regular use of garages. The problem is that with higher populations, you will almost always encounter traffic jams. These can be circumvented by creating pseudo- multi-lane roads (build two roads parallel to each other), ensuring that your road network has a lot of cycles (ie. there are multiple, mutually exclusive ways to get to any destination along different road segments), and/or spamming metro stations (aka "Teleportation stations").

But, is it better if I build a garage a team office near the farms, or just a garage?

Roads help a bit but only the buildings with garages actually need to be directly connected to them.

Garages. Teamster offices are of little use as pickup stations. What you want is to put the teamsters office somewhere between the dock and the place where your goods get made, preferably away from your traffic jam areas (though... well, Teamsters are a primary source for traffic jams).

You almost invariably want to move the teamsters office away from where it originally is on the map, since this usually becomes downtown central of your town and the very LAST thing you need is on top of all the people trying to get in and out of that area, teamsters trying to do the same.
