System requirements/RAM question
Hi guys, I'm considering buying Tropico 4, but I'm a little confused by the system requirements. I have a 13" MacBook Pro from late 2011, running 10.7.5, with a 2.4 GHz processor, 4GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB. Apart from the 10.8.5 requirement I figured I would be able to run Tropico 4, but then I read the note at the end of the game's requirements: "The following cards require you to have 8GB of system RAM: Intel HD3000, NVIDIA 9400, Intel HD4000 and NVIDIA 320M."
What does this mean exactly? Would I be able to run Tropico 4 with OS Lion and 4 GB of RAM or not? I'm not looking for the top-of-the-line experience, just being able to play the game without lag and freezing would be great. I'm quite willing to play it on its lowest graphics settings to achieve that. Also, are the requirements the same for all the DLC/the Collector's Bundle?

Hi there.
As stated, you need at least 4GB and 8GB of RAM are recommended.
The line you are referring to, simply states that when having these specific graphic cards, you need the recommended 8GB of RAM and not the at least 4GB of RAM. Therefore you probably won't be able to play the game, when having one of these specific graphic cards, but less than 8GB of RAM.
So it seems like an upgrade at least to your RAM and OS is needed.

Okay, thank you. It's a shame, the game looks great but I don't think I'm going to upgrade my system. Thank you for clarifying it for me!
