How to control an economy?/Como controlar a economia?
Alguma dica?

Hello! I'm having trouble with Trópico 4 game. I'm new to the game and I can't control the economy.
I can control the economy for a while, but after a long time I am always in debt, in the red. Even with several farms I cannot pay the debts. How to proceed? Any tips?

Hi VargaX,
You may be building things too fast. I tend to focus on building one building at a time. This gives the constructions workers time to build the thing. Also, you dont want to spend your money faster than you make it.
You have to wait for your exports to get to the loading dock, via teamsters. If you mouse-over the dock with your courser, then information pops up. You can check what the value of the exports that are at the dock, waiting for a boat. It also tells you when the next boat is expected, so that you have an idea of how to pace your construction. By the way, when you look at the dock, or any building that stores goods, you can see a stack of boxes that grows as more goods are stored.
Eventually you will want to expand your economy, but still keep things simple. Something like a lumber mill. You can make money from exporting the wood, and it doesnt require highschool education or power.
I hope this enough to get you going. Good luck.

Uau! Como eu não pensei nisso antes?
Nero, você me ajudou muito. Na verdade eu estava construindo coisas muito rapidamente e pagando por essa velocidade. Seguirei suas dicas.
Abraço.

Wow!! How did not i think of this before?
Nero, you helped me a lot. I was actually building things very quickly and paying for that speed. I will follow your tips.
Hug.

Also, keep in mind that if you're using farms for money, part of the corn, bananas, papayas or pineapples that you grow will go to feed your population, but all the sugar, tobacco or coffee that you grow will be exported (or used as ingredients in your factories, if you have any). building plantations instead of farms is a good first step to have lots of exports (keep the farms for growing food, have a couple of plantations for exports). as soon as you get an important amount of money, you should spend it on either industry or tourism

Allow me to use that moment to shamelessly plug the guide for T4 that I wrote a long while ago. You find it over in the guide section of the game.

many great guides here. if you want to learn for yourself great. just for a hint farms and mines make little to no money. with the exception of gold mines and maybe coffee. hit pause in begining of game and check out trade prices, and what you actauly can do on that island. i personaly dont bother with farms esp in begining. humanitry aid edict gives ya food and medical for awhile, so you can be up and running in no time.

U need tobacco farms and mines early, and keep constant track of unemployment/open job slots in almanac. Focus on raising happiness through housing and entertainment, and carefully adjust the rent/fee to make maximum profit. The goal is to take back as much of their wages as possible so you have a stable treasury + rapid highs from exporting industries
