Upgrading on buildings won't allow me to click them.

the upgrade buttons won't allow me to click them. and they are not crossed out, also happens to the manage button 50% of the time.
I tried vaildating the files and I got 2 files that failed to vaildate and will be reacquired. How is this supoosed to work? as I hit play and it said it was updating, but I went back into the game and nothing got fixed. I vaildate files again and it said the same thing; 2 files failed to vaildate and will be reacquired. Please help. Thanks in advance for any help.

There are two possible causes:
1. You've gone into debt (-$10,000) and therefore can't afford the upgrade
2. Some of the upgrades require electricity. You will need to build a power plant, nuclear plant, and/or wind turbines nearby (or extend the reach using electrical substations) so that the building is within your island's power grid

It's neither of those, its some bug or glitch. It's like the buttons aren't even there just the picture. It won't even show the info about them when I hover over the pic like it's supposed to.

in your game library, right click on tropico go to properties then click on local files and verify integrity of game files.

Have you tried uninstalling the game then reinstalling it?

I didn't edited my OP nor am I a "he" ^.-

I'd perferr not to have to uninstall the game then reinstall. As I unforunatley do not have a unlimated data plan where I live, its not an option where I live. And It would cost $5 per 1gb going over my limite. I'm also near my limite for this month... -.-' So I would rather try all other options before doing so.

I guess I somehow missed that part when I first read it, lol.

Now as for fixing your game, do you know what files are giving you the problem?
