I bought the game by itself, enjoyed it, then got all the other DLC and the base game again for $10
Bless the steam sale.
Let's hope the 6th will be good, although after the 5th and now with a new developer, my hopes aren't too high.
Its included in Tropico Reloaded
In terms of Campaign Fun 4, 3 ,5
In terms of variety and replay valvue 4,3,5
I can't find one redeeming quality in Tropico 5 compared to previous entries. I didn't include Tropico 1-2 as the OP probably wants something more modern.
Tropico 1 is still the best, but it's dated now and most people wouldn't enjoy it because of that.
I thought Tropico 5 was boring, and Tropico 6 isn't really Tropico, imo. The whole point of Tropico is that Tropico is a crappy, third world shi*thole where the people are miserable and the government is corrupt. Your role as El Presidente is to keep your population under control and gather as much power and money as possible. El Presidente is a bastard. He's a socialist/communist liar who decieves his people while living in a palace surrounded by tin roofed shacks. The modern titles have gotten away from that premise, and now it's just a city builder on an island, and the cause of all of Tropico's hardships are the evil outside influences, not the corrupt and despicable El Presidente.
This isn't surprising considering the current political climate is moving toward the narrative that socialism/communism is great, even though the original Tropico displays exactly what happens in a real "socialist paradise".
♥♥♥♥ I'm supposed to be corrupt? I just try to get money to build up the island more, I don't even collect money into the swiss account cause idk hat it's for XD. Maybe me running elections and trying to be nice is a bad idea.
