and yes, higher wages will increase ppl flow. also emigration building with 'open doors' will add +67%, so you will get like +60 ppl per ship.
I had issues with job positions not being filled fast enough with low wages, as well as just having that higher satisfaction helps with multiple objectives.
Same here. What's socialism good for if you must pay employees well anyway? ;-) I try hard to make my people happy in every other respect instead, raising wages only late in the game, and even then not by much. The only big exception is to raise unskilled pay to 6 while reducing apartment rent to 2, so that everyone with a job can afford an apartment. I do this as soon as I have considerable apartment vacancies with people still living in shacks. Sometimes pay should be adjusted in certain buildings or occupations to encourage people to work there and stay, or seek greener pastures.
