need help with exporting

I just started playing so I dont know much about the game but my problem is I want to sell tobaco and I have 2 farm working and not exporting anything. I tried go to the trade menu but it only asks me if I want to import tobaco and not export. pls help

Exporting tobacco is actually one of the easiest grades... Are you patient enough?

• Check if you have farms on Tobacco (2 will suffice)
  
• Check if you have people working the farms
  
• Have patience. Wait for the stuff to grow. Takes a while! As in more than half a year. You can keep the information panel opened and see the "output storage" on the bottom right
  
• Make sure your Teamsters can reach the farms easily, and that the Docks have workers as well. When you see the output storage at the farm disappear and the teamster running to the closest garage, follow him to the Docks. See the Export pile go up.

My best guess... You didn't have enough patience :)

Yes. as long as you have a farm set on tobacco, it will produce by itself, like any other farm product.

6 years and a couple days more :)

Don't forget you can make tobacoo with Plantations instead of farms. More effective (less workers)

Well yeah but you need a specific DLC for that (and I -still- don't have that one), so it's not a final go-to :)

Make sure you have a garage near the farm, that will help speed things up and add teamsters to cover the additional load. Remember the biggest myth in T4 is that you need tons of teamster's offices, when you only need 1 or possibly 2 on a full island. Garages are what gets product moved.
