As far as starting out as 1 player in Adventure 1, that's how it starts. You only need to fight 2 battles, maybe 3, then you get all your companions.
I've been playing tons of adventure 2 maps and haven't had any issues with it.
It is a little ugly, but honestly it plays better for the most part. In the first map it's pretty impossible to avoid running into monsters on the map and that can get tedious if you're just trying to run back to a town or something.
One big issue I've found with the adventure map 2 is that trade seems completely useless. In adventure 1 it's entirely reasonable to buy trade goods cheap in one town and sell them for a big profit at another town. In the adventure 2 maps I've played, there are barely any trade opportunities, it seems like most places produce the same stuff which drives down prices and leaves you with nothing else to trade. At least running a bunch of businesses is still profitable.
If one could dodge the monsters successfully on the map, one would rarely need weapons or armor.
The dev should realize, it's DnD, you're gonna run into monsters lol
I'd rather have my players run into monsters than make my game look like puke.
I mean there are plenty of dungeons you can run and still monsters on the map to fight. It's just easier to avoid it if you want to.
Trades suck and there's no NPC interaction.
The game goes from descent to crappy here.
