Can we expect a roguelike procedural world or is everything hand-crafted?
How long will it be? I'm hoping very long :)
Thanks for any info regarding this mode (including when it should be about ready (don't worry I won't hold you to your rough estimates, I know how these things go :)))!

The whole adventure world will be hand-crafted. And most other adventure elements on the world are program generated, such as random dungeons, random side-quests.
The adventure sandbox mode will be released first before the story mode. It's an endless mode;)
Did not know the adventure mode and story mode are two different things, I love the fact we'll have an endless mode and I really like the combination of hand-crafted with randomized :D
I wish all you devs good energy in creating it, I'll wait patiently :)
> Will we have Athletics/Sneak/Steal skills to use during our travels?
Yes. Some may be as party global skills.
Yes. Similar to special companions in Mount & Blade.
1~6 PCs + 1~2 NPC companions. The PCs pool mechanism will be added.
p.s. In the near future, we'll sort out the todo and plan list of Low Magic Age as a pinned topic.
It is nice to find new stuff everytime you play a game, it feels refreshing. But on the other hand
it is also nice to find something familiar, like going back home.
What I mean is that, it would be nice to have a world map with some cities/towns/places that are always there at the same place (kind of Baldur's Gate's maps) seasoned with randomly generated dungeons/locations/quests that will give a refreshing feeling to the game. Along with this, a main story to glue it all together.
And another suggestion that is not generaly found in rpg (there are some exceptions of course) a house/place/base/ where you can go with your party and leave them there if you want to, store some stuff, craft items/potions/scrolls etc and where you can sleep as well.
Haha, actually, we're doing the same thing for the adventure/story mode! A hand-work constant big world + randomly generated dungeons/locations/quests.
It's a good idea that can build a sense of belonging. Some good games implemented this feature, such as Lunatic Dawn (an ancient mud-like RPG from DOS age by a Japanese company ArtDink) and Wakfu (a mmorpg by a French company Ankama), etc.
So, we'll do it, too ;)
Looking forward to play the campaign!
Yes. We've the plan to provide the mod feature + steam workshop.
Visible roaming enemies and may be few ambushs. Some towns and villages are static, some are dynamic and growing. Similar situation for dungeons and other adventure sites.
Yes. There will be regional maps for adventure sites, just like Darkest Dungeon. Direct random battle maps for roaming enemies.
Some time ago, we play Darkest Dungeon when resting. Now we play Battle Brothers ;)
We'll introduce the members pool feature in future updates, so you'll have a big backup for your characters.
But the maximum 6 of active characters is relatively fixed. We don't want to put our players to the hell of mass characters and equipment management. Besides, a small party of 4~6 characters is a fantasy tradition of dnd, no reason to break it.
Of course! A party without lizard men will never ever be a legend!
So the answer is we'll introduce monster races, quite easy but much fun ;)
Will the campaign be open-world in the sense that you can just adventure endlessly?
When will the campaign and the meat of this game be ready, please? I'm really looking forward to playing the main campaign and missions of this game.
Playable monster races are undetermined. All the existing Humanoid monster races (Werewolf, Gnoll, Lizardfolk, Minotaur...) or future monsters (centaur, succubus? ;) may be picked as player races.
Yes. We prefer endless adventure even though main storyline existing.
