Barbarian dropping out of rage due to sleep/stun/mad
I just went over the rules again as i couldn't remember sleep, stun, paralysis and other disabling effects dropping a barbarian out of his rage. Found the ruling on this in the official D&D 3.5 FAQ on page 10 where it says that the rage should remain active even when he's dead :steamhappy:

I hope the current implementation is unintentional since it makes barbarians a weaker version of the warrior at lower levels as disabling effects hit quite often still and dropping out of rage at low levels even weakens them (and they have less feats per level on average to increase their damage output that way).

It's intentional :airelemental:... We referred to the path finder Rage rules:

...If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.

In the beginning, it seems more reasonable, so we implemented it. But after more testing these days, we realized this rule may be a cruel thing and unbalanced for the one-time rage, the original 3r rage may be just the best choice, oh my...:wowwhat:

Well if you're going for Pathfinder: i'd like that implementation of rage (always found the D&D implementation of it a bit suspect but it was more or less balanced, but even they had more than one rage per day after lvl 4) but if you mix them the signature move of the barbarian gets killed by a single sleep (i just got this image in my head where a tribe of barbarians attacks a city, one defending mage casts sleep and after they wake up again they go home because no rage no win :tgrin:)

This sad story fortified our confidence to remove the pf rage rule next update ;) :redhydra:
