Broken Sword 1 - Shadow of the Templars: Director's Cut (2009)

A Bug?
I am at the point where I need to open the window in the museum to cause a distraction for the guard, but the rod that controls the window is not there. I get the eye and the cogs action icons when I cursor over where it was, but George just shrugs when I try to do either. I fear I will have to restart my whole game...Any thoughts or solutions?

Some actions need activated "flags" to be able to do them (usually doing something that gives you a reason to do said action in the first place). Try using the sarcophagus first and try it again after the guard reprimends you.
It you still can't it's possible you aren't supposed to do that yet.

That's strange...I tried walking into the sarcophagus, and it just went immediately to the night time scene with the burglary. I didn't have to do the whole window thing at all. Whatevs. I'm just glad I didn't have to restart my game! =P Definitely going to make separate save files instead of just overwriting from now on.

I didn't have to use the window to proceed. (don't know if I missed anything less important) - I still got to the end of the game with no problems.

they made some of the scenes easier in the directors cut... probably this is one of them

Me neither used the window. Some scenes are different in the director's cut version, easier... I don't like these changes. I prefered the original gameplay I guess. Specially the moment with the goat. It was really easy...
