It might be worth taking a look at your Graphics settings and how your dual monitors are set up there. Are you using an Nvidia or AMD graphics card?
While I understand this isn't exactly helpful I've ended up playing the original version (the one kindly provided as FREE DLC, thank-you for this!).
It works full screen and I prefer it over the Directors Cut version (off topic but whats with all the cut dialogue and options?? I didn't confirm it until I got to Ireland but the Directors Cut version has SO MUCH removed/missing from it - a real shame).
I am using an Nvidia GPU and although I don't know much about Linux upon checking xranr everything -seemed- fine, this is the only game I've had that's had this problem but I don't doubt for one second the issue is more likely on my end (either with my DE being i3wm) or my use of Distro (Manjaro).
Thanks for your time once again, kind regards.

The game does not appear to react to any launch flags. Once the game has started I can alt+enter to windowed mode, which at least makes all of the game visible, but it's all rather suboptimal. Would be great if there was a proper solution.
If this can help you, then i am happy to hear.

edit: assuming you mean dual screen. Instead of duplicate? You need to check screen settings in Linux, and change output settings. Try "Win + P" if that helps. But you can drag the game window to the other screen, HDMI from PC to TV assuming thats how you play it?. If this doesnt work in full screen. Then best way is to just drag window til it fits the output screen, and just with ScummVM program you can size up the game window til it fits the output screen resolution
I hope that helps
Hi there bud, thanks for the link and taking the time to share that with me - it's been a lifetime since I played this game so I'm going on memory but from what I remember what I think was happening was that I was using i3wm and Broken Sword was using my combined resolution instead of one or the other (think of four equal resolutions combined to make another square, that instead of two separate ones, diagonally opposed to each other).
I was eventually able to get this game to work (I think...?) but again as I said it's been such a long time since I last played this I can't properly recall.
With that said thanks again for the link, if I install it again anytime soon and am met with screen issues again I'll be sure to check it out :)
