Wood specialist and wood bender
I saw a discussion about specialist needing higher environments to keep working and I know that is not the issue I have. So I made a wood shop mood is 20+, 2 specialists. The one who works the table saw, does his work no issues. But the one who uses the wood bender gets stuck and starts spinning or just standing still until their energy runs out and they need a coffee break, so I only get one item processed. I fired her thinking it might just be the worker, but when the specialist from the saw moved to the bender he started getting stuck in the same fashion. Normal workers have used the bender without issue.

Specialist seem to have issues in my game. I find them buggy and/or just plan lazy even with high decor rooms. You give them jobs like assembly, metal, etc and they do everything anyways just like the regular joe smooes. I find them just idling with none of their machines filled (yes the machines are fixed and qued). The regular workers I barely have any issues and many times when I do have issues with the NON- specialist it is my mistake. So, yes I do check for player mistakes.

It maybe that specialist will do any metal job and this confuses the specialist and why they idle or all over the map. Maybe tweek their job code. I want my specialist assemby team on the assembly bench, not cutting the wood specialist's wood or doing metal, and etc. I find that specialist are the least specialist and plain workers are more specialist and stay on task better.

Sorry developers, not being mean. This is the cutest game and it is just frustrating seeing how bad the specialist do.

I found quite the opposite, once I upgraded and got 2 wood specialists. All other workers stayed out of the wood shop most of the time and the specialists stayed away from the other stations. I'd have to observe more to be certain, but it seemed that way.
