The machines can degrade there is a quick button to see all your machines as colors it makes it easier to keep track of the failing ones.
You can also get infiltrated by a certain amount of spies if this happens there should be a box top left telling you they will sabotage your machines if not clicked on fast enough, these events can be turned off though but are worth extra cash which can help loads at the start.
The micro manage is real at the start but by mid to end game it becomes a none issue really they will fix stuff themselves but just do a check now and again.
1. You did not repair your machines (with basic product this should probably only occure if you make like 40 parts without repairing)
2. You have overloaded your machines (next to the "hp bar")
3. You had a minigame where your competitor send spies you had to find. These people sabotage your machines -> nearly insta boom when used
Just in case: You can use "STRG" to repair each machine with one click.
For the record, I did already catch the spy, and I was making the large basic tables.
