What does the DM in some component descriptions mean?
e.g Plank 8DM

I thought you made that up at first :D
However Google revealed it to be a real thing, well you learn something new everyday. Maybe that is common in Europe? I have worked in Construction and Manufacture in the UK for over 30 years and have never come across that unit of measurement.

well I live in Germany and I also don't use decimeter....maybe sometimes. We mostly use centimeter as the preferred measurement unit.

10 dm = 1 m
100 cm = 1m
