Work time isnt reliable?
I had a work time of 26 days but i completed it in 5days (deadline was 6 days) i would assume it doesnt take in to consideration that i have mulitiple machines doing one thing (it included a lot of circlesaw and assembly station usage) since i had 4 of one machine and it still said "7 hours" even tho it was more like 1-2 hours for that operation.

I'm actually suspecting the WT refers to the total time of work performed by each individual toon put together. Not how long the project will take.

Work Time and Operation Time are both in "man hours"
Time estimations on factory floors can be really complex to estimate(goes for real factories too), so you'll have to wing it and do some testing. :)

Exactly. Work Time is how long it would take ONE guy to do all of it, including carrying it back and forth to the station. There's some guesswork and estimations going on there as well, so don't take it too literally.

So i was doing the "correct" thing when i saw that for example cutting wood takes 7 hours but i have 2 machines so its 3hours 30 minutes and if i use overclock its only 1h 45 minutes?

Assuming you can keep it running without any issues ;D don't recall the exact overdrive values though, but sounds about right

What could be stopping it? other than to fix the machines?

also it would be a good "tip" to include in the game that you have to do some of your own calculations if you have multiple machines able to do one thing, as the game doesnt consider that.

There is some loss when your operator gets exhausted and another has to walk to the machine. I also have my problems finding out how much "real" manpower I have like that.

The energy system of the worker makes everything very unpredictable in my opinion. Sure you have the priority system, but do you want to adjust the slider for every product new as your factory grows?
That might still be ok, if there were some sort of "pause" button where you can set the priorities before they start working.

The automatization in this game is a bit flawed with "unpredictable" aspects

yes ive noticed especially with the "job boards" (forgot the name) for example i have 4x assembly stations and for some reason if i give a "small job" with only 1-4 big items in it it will make one of the assembly stations finish all 4 items instead of making all the assembly stations making one thus being faster.

worker obstruction and long path can extend the time needed. It is impoartant to give haulers (and workers) the space needed to transport parts.
also I find that works idle when standing next to a "ready for operation" workstation and this workstation has no worked assigned already.
