From what i understand, it's like a rock/paper/scissors deal.
main shot melee counters subshot melee, subshot melee counters shield, and shield counters main shot melee
If Fabian is going to melee Ernula, you better dodge, let him get the delay after trying to melee, and then attack.
I'm gonna make more detailed things more than the in-game tutorial, covering how every character has the same command list but how you need to see them before running to online, and everything, I mean... EVERYTHING.
One thing I've noticed is that Fabian's neutral barrage is REALLY good at trashing BOSS modes. Any way to fight back against that? Or just resign yourself to losing BOSS modes to him.
And not really, that's the strategy of using BOSSes, I recommend actually doing the best to make "pressure" on the opponent to try to remove his barrage bar with melee, so you can actually try to transform in BOSS without too much trouble, but I never recommend ussing BOSSes for making damage.
Sakurako/Shinobu's C2 (Left-Right+C), Jasper Hongo C1, Ernula/Ranatus S, Changpo's C3 (360+C) are also good for that, every character has what I like to call "1 Boss killer" attack, at times useful against rounders, sometimes not.
