Can you provide any other information at all?
1: Have you seen this issue in other UE4 games like Fortnite or PUBG?
2: What render mode are you in? Borderless? Can you try changing off of borderless?
3: Do you have any other mouse you can try as a test?
4: If you alt tab out and back in again once within a mission...does the mouse work (this is testing window focus control)
5: The G502 has some DPI scaling features. Can you tinker a bit with that (or temporarily disable it) to see if that's conflicting with the game?
but i have reinstalled the logitech software
and now it is working ! same version (88.2.17).
but it can also be that I play the game on an ultra wide monitor .
Thanks
Here's what I've tried:
1) I have not had this problem with any other UE4 games, PUBG works fine
2) I've tried Borderless and fullscreen, no effect
3) Testing with a different mouse has no effect. The models I used to test were Zelotes T-90 and the Logitech M185. Furthermore, I couldn't get my rockcandy xbox360 controller to work at all, though admittedly I didn't try much other than plug it in and restart the game.
4) Alt-tabbing and pausing does give me full control of the mouse, the only problem is when playing the actual game.
5) Switching between the pre-set dpi settings on my T-90 doesn't have any effect.
6) Uninstalling and verifying the game cache had no effect.
7) Playing with the mouse sensitivity in the in-game options has no effect.
Side Note: I am unable to reinstall the software on my T-90 mouse as I lost the disk and for some reason Zelotes only has the T-80's software available online. The logitech mouse's software, however, was freshly installed.
My Hardware:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB
Any ideas? I really liked Tower of Guns and I don't want to have to refund this.
However, I just found a solution. Apparently it was either my firewall or my Comodo antivirus that was causing the issue, and letting the game through those security programs made my mouse work.
Unfortunately, when I start the game, all of my progress is gone (I was able to get my xbox 360 controller to work and played the first 2 levels).
Personally, I still might uninstall the game. It's a lot of fun, but I just don't have the time right now to solve all these problems on my own. If I refund it, I'll probably pick it up at a later date when it's had a few more patches. Sorry.
