NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M not recognising game so forcing it to use in built Graphics Card Help!
Please Help! I have a brand new Laptop with pretty good specs. It plays Warhammer total war highest quaity no problem. However when i downloaded Dragon Quest Heroes 2 i was very diappointed that the frame rate is so awful to make the game unplayable even on lowest settings. Upon investigation i have noticed that the game is not using my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M but is instead using the inbuilt graphics card. The Geforce Experience Driver is up to date but i noticed that it is not recognising this game at all. I have looked on NVIDIA Control Panal to see if i could force the game to use the GeForce Card, but under Manage 3D settings it is the only game not listed on the drop down menu. It seems that it does not even recognise it at all.

Can someone please offer me some advice?

You have to click ADD then BROWSE and then manually navigate to where the executable is, normally: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DRAGON QUEST HEROES™ II and then double-click on DQH2 and then hit apply in the bottom-right corner. You "should" be good to go after that.

On a side note, many ports of the asian variety do not pick your NVIDIA graphics card by default. I know Toukiden 2 doesn't nor does EDF.

I have exactly the same Problem with GTX 980M. I tried the solution that Hooka provided but now the game is only starting in window mode...

Just asking to ask, have you had any luck messing with the fullscreen options in the DQ config launcher?

Hey sorry for the late reply, i have been away for the weekend. I did what you said but then it would not start at all. So I've just tried it in window mode and seems to work! now I'm gonna play around to see if i can get it full screen. Thanks for the help Guys!
