I THINK I understand what I was doing wrong... after reading some more threads.
I got Batman AC as a free offer with the Nvidia GTX 590 a few years ago.. after that in a Steam Sale I got Batman AC GOTY and Batman AA GOTY... I've just read a thread:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/200260/discussions/0/810938810555405109/
I think what he is saying is that it is NOT supposed to work and that ppl who have got that (Batman AC) will automatically get the Batman AC GOTY in their library.. he is saying that version (Batman AC GOTY) will work without problems or need of a CD Key.
I purchased the Batman AC GOTY but I think everyone has to use that. In other words the standard Batman AC is not working for EVERYONE not just me.
Can someone please confirm this?
Thanks in advance.
That's why no one comes to these forums anymore.
Most people are there now:

Thanks for responding!! I thought everyone was asleep or something.
BTW something you may be able to clarify.. it's about Games For Windows Live GFWL.
I read sometime ago that MS stopped the GFWL service.. BUT I still have the GFWL client and sign on with it (it is slow) and games like Warhammer use it.
I think what MS is saying is that you can STILL sign on with it but the other parts of it are no longer running.. I THINK GFWL was how people could buy games for Windows and play them a bit like Steam.. I think what MS was saying was the main part of it was finished but you can still sign on with it for games that needed it.. correct?
I am aware that Batman games stopped using GFWL completely and they use something called SteamWorks whatever that is.
Anyway thanks for the response.. it's cleared things up.
As for Steamworks, it's simply the part of Steam that provides achievements and syncs saves for games. All the games on Steam do not use this feature (Dragon Age: Origins for example).
But if a game has Steam achievements or sends your save to the cloud, it uses Steamworks (like Skyrim).
Also, in their announcement, they said your saves for Batman were lost. It's not true. You can try to patch them:

The SteamWorks thing... alot if not the majority of games I have do the "sync with cloud" thing and save games which is very useful.. as you can play games on different machines and saved games are stored on some server online.
It's good you replied.. it's simple when someone explains it.
