On the very first mission you don't get an option to park the plough in the radial menu.
You can move it left or right but when the field is finished you have to unattach and reattach to be able to park it. (By park it I mean the plough is able to be driven and is not in the working position).
Is there a chance that you don't have any testers to make sure everything works properly before publishing a patch? cultivators never did that before the Gold Beta.
All i gotta say is wow, I sure hope you get all the bugs fixed before you actually release gold edition out of beta.
As mentioned in the other thread, I can't get the to the Video section of the Options menu. It glitches out and I can't change any options. The Player.log file also fills up with errors like:
FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

As soon as I opt out of the Gold Edition, the Options menu works correctly again.
I decided to start a new save so I would be on the first mission again.
I couldn't enter the tractor to start the mission.
I use an Xbone controller but both controller "B" button and keyboard "Q" would not let me enter the tractor....
The answer to the first three questions. Yes, the job indicator now works without problems. There is always a mission on the desktop. No achievement Job Hooper still doesn't work.
I haven't been here quite a while, but for the "Gold" Version I thought I'd take a look...
first things first
the physics are a mess.
I started a career and when I got to the cultivating job, the grubber was all jumpy like hell.
it jumped like a foxtail when driving to the field, and even worse, it jumped while cultivating, making it impossible to drive straight through, that would leave gaps. I always had to play with the speed staying a bit more slowly, but still the grubber was jumping.
I switched back to base version, and it is better. the working speed is limited when grubber is down, it does not jump at all and ... it feels relaxing like a field job game has to feel.
so, whatever you did with the physics engine, it made it worse. this "Gold" is mere pyrite.
this reported, I'd like to refer to your last point
well, I have only played a few hours this time, starting a career and a free in "gold" and a career in base. so I cannot exactly refer to any issues later in the game that I may have noticed over a year ago. (is the "plowing progress" bug solved?)
what I can adress is a problem with the plows.
there is only ONE function in the plows. it is "lower hitch" with the small plows, or "turn left/right" with the big one. the "lower hitch" does also unfold the plow, the "turn" does also lower the plow.
those functions should be devided into two functions, like the grubber is. the small plow should have "unfold" and "lower", the big plow should have "turn left/right" (what is a likewise function as "unfold") and additionally have "lower".
it is no soooo problematic with the small plow, but with the big one it is not possible to move it to a smart starting position and then lower it to start plowing.
and btw, the grubber uses the function "activate tool" as if it had a mechanism like a sowing machine. it is just a tool that moves over the soil like a plow does. the function should be "lower hitch", too.
hope you do not feel to unpleasent reading my critique. best regards!
PS:
oh yes, and please do something about the weather. it changes too fast and unmotivated, you can have three times rain and sun during one job. and when it getting cloudy and starting to rain it's getting dark like nuclear winter. I seen games less dark at midnight like this here is during a high noon rain.
When i try deposit grain to home silo or sell it, grain vanishes instantly when i prompt to deposit from tipper. There is no emptying animation and nothing is delivered to silo or sold to buyer.
I'm playing at american map, using smallest tipper holding 8000 and grain i try to empty is barley. I haven't tested other scenarios.
0.2 didn't fix the Options menu.
-physics is a mess. Small cultivators are junk. You can't use it. Jumping all the time. Not a little bit. Cultivator was hitting roof of my tractor. It is silly.
-Achievements: "Busy work" not working. For sure I did more than 50 jobs in career but still no achievement. Job hopper is working. Counter is 5 minutes job for a programmer. Can't believe that took you more than year and you can't fix a simple thing. Not sure about remaining achievements.
- Indestructible objects (like letter boxes). You can his something tiny and overturn your equipment (because of this crazy physics). It is really annoying in contractor jobs. You are returning equipment, hitting a rock or something silly, ending up on the side and game over. Cant reset items in contract job. Sometimes after a long mission you have to cancel it because of it. Also sometimes I have my own tractor on a field after previous job. Taking another with farmer's equipment. It is hard to move my tractor as I have only few seconds before the mission will be cancel. Remove this feature or extend to 2 minutes or something.
- Jobs are always available on boards, but it is a plowing simulator. After few jobs in the beginning (watering, harvesting) , you will be able to plow only. You will plow the field, going back to the board and only job is plow this field again. And again. And again. So boring. Check other games how to deal with it. If you have "plow the field" job and player will not do anything with it, after 24 hours go to another task (cultivating, watering, etc).
-As only job possible is plowing, fix the big plow. Plowing area is only 50% of the plow size. Takes ages to finish any job.
-Harvester with a front attachment is too wide to fit the smaller bridge. Lucky because of stupid physics you can push it over the bridge.
-I can understood it was too hard to create AI workers for you. The good idea is that worker and equipments works in the background. But really, do I need fill everything in 100%? I have water tank with 10000 units of water. Game knows that I need 200 to water a filed. It is really necessary to fill it to the top? Really annoying. Check if the amount is good. If yes, do the job. No, give the message. It is happening in the background as progress bar. It is simple "if" statement. A student will write this for you in 5 minutes. Array with fields and units needed. Also, you should have an option to return equipment to the field if user want. If workers are finishing few jobs, you have a mess on this small parking.
-cant ask workers to harvest. If you are worrying that harvesters are without storage to store entire harvest, just make it as default that AI after harvest will put everything to silo. Player job will be only to delivery it from storage to the customer.
-most important. Do not release and do not sell a demo of the game!
linux port ist still an old 1.1 build with a lot of bugs.
Options menu still broken in 0.3.
Just quick test in 0.3, this still happens
