Unlock daily challenges

Disclaimer: I've only just gotten the game, and have definitely not done everything there is to do in this game yet.
That being said, I 've been wondering: how does one unlock the daily challenges? When in the hub world, there's just a closed hatch there for me, and I can't enter. Are there any requirements for being able to join the dailies? If so, what exactly are they?

EDIT:
I have now finished (in that order) main levels, underworld, puzzle, main levels (robot), speedrun, underworld (robot), centipede.
The daily challenges are now unlocked for me :)

I beat the main levels a few times already, and the underworld levels once.
Does "beating the game" include the speedrun and/or centipede levels? Or beating the game with the robot dog? Those I haven't done yet.

If you beat the game once, it should be on the top left on the main hub (daily run, centipede, puzzle, and speed run should be all in there)

They are all there, but the top stairs (marked with a bone, I assume this is supposed to be the dailies) are locked, in that it shows a closed hatch instead of stairs, and the tile cannot be entered.

Hmm...I actually don't know when dailies are unlocked, so you should just try to beat the Underworld with all dogs

Ok, guess I’ll try to do that first. Robot dog doesn’t seem easy, but at least it’s a good reason to keep attempting the run :)
I’ll keep the thread open in case anybody else does have a specific answer.

It's just Puzzle and Centipede mode you need to beat. It's so you have Robo and Zombie fidel, as some dailies use them.
