How do you solve the shield puzzle? (Spoilers)

It says use a mixture of wisdom and strength to overcome obstacles or whatever, so I try to do an intelligence check and then a constitution check, and I have no idea why that doesn't work. It also doesn't work to do intelligence twice, then the constitution check to take the shield. Am I missing something?

I did the Throw something at the trap first, then Figure out how it works, I don't remember how they're named. :v But it worked.

You have to use the wisdom check on the outer circle, then the constitution check on the inner circle. Even if you've already "solved" the outer circle, redo it. It worked for me.

Yeah, you have to start from the outer circle. You will then be able to move closer to do other stuff. If my reply isn't helpful and you're still stuck, post a screenshot, might help.

I don't know if maybe the final Constitution check is ridiculously hard. The success chance is hidden, and I failed about 5x with at 100 Con character. It might not matter which solution to the Inner Circle you use. But it's a bit silly that they keep letting you deactivate the outer ring over and over again, when AFAIK only the inner ring regenerates.

Anyway, you get two (or at least that's how many I got) Orichalcum Beads.

I am really stuck there still. Every time I try to take the shield it fails even tho I have a 100 con character. I've tried about 20 times by now. Is there anything special you need to do before you can pick up that shield?
