Game crash after content update.

I am at the water fountain angel for the first time before the water goes bloody I went to the elevator got the memento checked the service room had to go get key went across the hall into a loading screen than bam crash now when i start up the profile it constant crashes.

specs:
dual core amd 4600+ 2.4ghz
9800gtx+
4gb ram dual channel 800mhz?
windows 7 x64 ultimate

I know this crash is related to that one room maybe a corrupt file i am going to look into trouble shooting but if anyone has had this happen please fill me in I dont want to start a new profile game is scary enough as is.

try verifying the intergrety of the game cache

Attempted this but no go just deleted all the game content and redownloaded fixed the problem kept my save.
