I'd guess around 3/4 hours left. You're a good bit over half way thorugh the game.

30 minutes? 20 minutes? Actually, if you are scared by the game, you will have more than one hour left.

I'd say probably a couple of hours, but the fear factor does play heavily in to how much time left. If you hide in closets, for ten minutes at a time, then a lot longer. Or you could 'cheat' by typically just letting monsters kill you once they show up. Usually, then they will just disappear, but that will no longer apply in Machine for Pigs and that is totally going to bump up the fear factor.

Elemenda is so much right... But you can't hide in some areas, like the Choir... this is just madness...

What? The monsters wont despawn?! :(

The monsters were never really meant to despawn, it was rather an engine bug from what I have heard. They'll be tweaking the engine (or just moving it to HPL3) so that monsters respawn even after death, as well as making them more intelligent. :squirtmeh:
AAMFP is still 3 weeks away, so you might as well take your time. I recommend you play Justine as well, it's just as good, although not as lengthy, but you still have lots of time.

Also bear in mind that A Machine for Pigs is not a continuation of Dark Descent in terms of story (It looks like the devs are shooting for an anthogy series, like Twilight Zone, rather than a lore-based series), so it's not actually a big deal if you don't complete DD before starting AMfP.

thanks for all the answers.
yes i know it's not continuation but still i'd like to play it when it comes out.
i don't play too much recently dou to time and sometimes being too tired, also amnesia should be playd at night for best effect which even farther limits my abillity to play it, so if it was like 6-7h left i might not make it in 3 weeks, but with less i probably will

Who said you shouldn't? I'm saying there's no need to wait. You can start playing AMfP when it comes out regardless. You don't need to finish DD before starting AMfP any more than you would need to have finished Penumbra before starting Amnesia.

don't like playing 2 games with important story lines at the same time.
i often get them mixed up :P especially that i might have quite long breaks between each play in the upcoming days

Ah, I gotcha. I've had the same problem with other media, so no worries.
